Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney is a 289-acre wildlife sanctuary with five miles of hiking trails, about fifty acres of wetlands, a two-acre native plant garden, and butterfly house. McKinney Campus is home to Collin College’s first campus where you will find the nationally recognized Cary A. Israel Health Sciences Center for Collin’s programs in Nursing and Health Sciences.
Collin Higher Education Center is the second McKinney location for Collin College that was created to provide a unique, multi-institutional higher education experience to area students. Five universities offer a variety of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in one convenient, local university center. Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas Woman’s University, The University of Texas at Dallas, The University of North Texas, and Texas Tech University have partnered with Collin College to offer numerous services and amenities to support students.
The Public Safety Training Center opened in the fall of 2018 and serves as the home for the Fire Science and Law Enforcement academies at Collin College. The center also provides expanded training and professional development opportunities for local fire departments and law enforcement agencies.
