Park Cities

Park Cities is a term used when referring to the picturesque communities of Highland Park and University Park which are located in Dallas County but are two separate municipalities and separate from the city of Dallas. Highland Park is located just a short 3 miles north of downtown Dallas and 4 miles from the highly acclaimed UT Southwestern Medical Center.  Highland Park shares a northern border with its equally impressive neighbor University Park.  The town’s name originated from its location adjacent to Southern Methodist University.  The Park Cities encapsulate the height of upscale living and one of the most sought-after and wealthiest communities in the country.  Children living in the Park Cities attend the highly respected Highland Park Independent School District, which is widely recognized as one of the best public school systems in the United States.
